UN Seminar New York 2009

The United Nations (UN) is the largest purchasing agency in the world. This November, the German American Chamber of Commerce New York will be hosting a seminar in New York City to introduce to you the purchasing procedures of the UN and to help you establish concrete contact to them.
The event will take place on the 16th and 17th of November in the German House at 871 United Nations Plaza in New York. It is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology and the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations, as well as Germany Trade and Invest.
Attendees can expect to gain an overview of the various UN organizations throughout the world and their procurement procedures. Also, if you register early, you will have the opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with UN purchasers. Registration for the event is 150 Euros, but if you register by September 15th, the fee is reduced to 100 Euros. If you are interested in one-on-one meetings, you must register by September 30th.
Please note that the seminar addresses primarily German companies, so the presentations will be held partly in German and partly in English. Future U.S. Ambassador to Germany Visits RGIT

On August 11, 2009 Philip D. Murphy, designated ambassador of the United States to Germany whose nomination was recently confirmed by the US-Senate, visited the office of the Representative of German Industry and Trade in Washington D.C. In a meeting with German companies in the USA, the German-American Chambers of Commerce and the German Embassy, participants addressed matters of bilateral trade and US-German economic relations. Murphy, who had been CEO of Goldman Sachs Germany from 1993 to 1997, will be formally appointed as Ambassador to Germany within the next days.

World Fair for Beverage and Liquid Food Technology
