Must I use certain doctors or hospitals "preferred providers?" under my plan?

 

No, you are not limited to certain health care providers but it is recommended if an affiliated provider is available. Sometimes it is easier to work with a provider that is affiliated with AIG through a PPO network. It will also assure that the bill will not exceed reasonable & customary charges. Go to the following link: HEALTH CARE PROVIDER DIRECTORY for a listing of physicians in your area. From there, it will ask you to enter a PIN. The number for the GACC is 3014.

My claim was denied. Is there a grievance procedure?

Within 60 days, you may request, in writing, a review of any denied claim. All requests for review must specify why you believe the denial was made in error. Whenever possible, requests should attach supporting documentation (for example, medical bills and/or correspondence.) Send correspondence to:

How do I submit (file) a claim?

Participating students can access claim forms and submission information at this link. Claim forms should be completed fully, and only original bills are accepted. Keep a copy for your records. Printed claim forms may be sent to AIG at

How long will it take for my claim to be paid?

AIG's goal is to process all claims within 21 business days of receipt of the claim.
