Over the past decade, we have seen exciting advancements toward smart infrastructure. And with major challenges such as population growth, blackouts and natural disasters, these much needed improvements are constantly being tested.

Will the future bring a variety of separate patches that will target isolated electricity demand response goals?  And if so, will those systems cooperate well to form a functional network? Or will an integrated solution be introduced, which addresses a number of the coming challenges?  What would be the roadmap for rolling out such a massive project?

Our panel will discuss the progress and challenges in developing new and sustainable infrastructure improvements. You will meet:

Matthew Fairy
Founder, Emergent Energy Solutions

James Gallagher
Executive Director, New York State Smart Grid Consortium

Christian Höpfner
Scientific Director, Fraunhofer Center for Sustainable Energy Systems CSE

Brian Jones
Senior Principal, Energy and Utilities, SAP

Kurt Becker
Associate Provost for Research & Technology Initiatives, Professor of Applied Physics, Professor of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering, Polytechnic Institute of New York University

For more information on the panelists, please see their biography. The roundtable will be followed by a networking reception with refreshments.
