5th Transatlantic Market Conference
Transatlantic Cooperation for Growth and Security

 October 16 – 18, 2011

Convention Center
Capitol Hill
Washington, D.C.

This year’s conference will focus on IT security, intellectual property rights and cyber security.

On behalf of the organizers, we cordially invite you to this conference - high-ranking German, European and American representatives from politics, business, the associations, international organizations and the scientific world are expected to attend.

Civil security is receiving growing attention on both sides of the Atlantic, where it is becoming increasingly difficult to retain the balance between national security requirements and society’s acceptance of security measures. Focus is on the development of new technologies and services as a result of rising security requirements of ever-growing complexity. During this conference, we would like to discuss what is needed to protect critical infrastructures, i.e. transatlantic cooperation in the field of information technology, patent protection and supply chain security as well as new strategies to counter cyber attacks.

The updated conference program can be viewed at here.

We would be honored to welcome you to this year’s conference and the opening dinner reception on the evening of October 16th, 2011 at the Hay-Adams Hotel. A second dinner reception will be at the residence of the German Ambassador Dr. Ammon on October 17th. Please note that there is limited space for both dinners.
