FDA U.S. Agent Service
| | Under the new anti-bioterrorism regulations of 12 December 2003, companies exporting food for human or animal consumption to the U.S. must register with the "US Food and Drug Administration" (FDA).
|
For purposes of registration, a foreign facility must designate a U.S. agent, who must live or maintain a place of business in the U.S. and be physically present in the U.S. Together with the German Agricultural Marketing Board (CMA), the German American Chamber of Commerce is providing a service for German companies to act as their US agent when they register with the FDA. The annual fees are 290 Euro (general fee) and 140 Euro (for CMA members).
