The Legal Department answers requests from German and American companies about legal matters of German American trade. This includes general information on various legal issues, concerning foremost

• import regulations
• US and German Customs proceedings
• duties
• taxes

Since the GACC New York cannot conduct binding legal consulting, it can only give general advice as well as addresses of relevant law firms. In individual cases the department can conduct comprehensive research for a charge.

In addition, we pass on special requests to the appropriate institutions. .
