dasHAUS, the Sustainability Pavilion, toured the United States in 2012 making stops on the East Coast in Cambridge, New York and Washington, DC. This green exhibition showcased innovative energy strategies and cutting-edge architectural concepts for engineers, architects, professionals in the industry, and the general public alike. Those who toured dasHAUS gained firsthand experience with unique technology such as integrated solar window blinds, smart appliances and climate control systems and more.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) sponsored this North American tour to display the technological advances that Germany has made in the last 20 years now that the techniques have been perfected and integrated into everyday German life. The pavilion was used as a platform to transfer technology and industry experience between Germany and the United States.
