New Company Information

Thank you for your interest in our J-1 Exchange Visitor Visa Program. Here you will find all the information required for the company side of a J-1 visa application. Downloadable information is available along the right side of this page. Should you encounter any problems or have concerns not addressed here please do not hesitate to contact a GACC representative.

If you are applying on behalf of an Intern please be aware of the following guidelines:

Company Guidelines:

Minimum of 5 full-time employees
Site visits must be conducted if host companies have fewer than 25 employees or less than 3 million dollars annual revenue and not previously participated successfully in the GACC J-1 visa program
Member of the GACC
A stipend or other benefits are required for internship programs greater than 6 months
Must be a skilled internship position

Intern Guidelines:

Currently enrolled at University, “Fachhochschule”, “Berufsakademie” or an accredited post-secondary degree/certificate producing institution
Minimum of 2 semesters of study
Graduated no more than 12 months prior to exchange visitor program start date
Must be between the ages of 18-35 years old
Internship must complement the field of study

To begin the application process companies interested in obtaining a J-1 Exchange Visitor visa for an intern they have selected are required to submit to the GACC the candidate’s resume with contact information and an offer letter on company letter head containing the following information:

length of the internship program
starting date
content or area of activity
company information including address and website address
contact person including their contact information (at minimum e-mail and phone number) within the company
