The GACC Career Services Department has contacts with internationally operating companies in Germany who offer training programs to American students or recent graduates.

The benefits for selected candidates are:

• the chance to receive first-hand experience with the German working society,
• the ability to acquire in-depth, practical knowledge of German business culture and practices,
• the opportunity to improve fluency in the German business language,
• the ability to establish future career contacts.

In the today's global marketplace, Internship Program Germany is an invaluable springboard for serious candidates who wish to enhance their future careers in international business. The role of GACC Career Services in Internship Program Germany is to support and assist candidates in all of the necessary steps for obtaining a training program in Germany.

Additionally the GACC Career Services will:

• assist in locating housing in Germany,
• assist in the procurement of a residency and work permit for Germany,
• advise on health insurance requirements.

Once a successful placement has been made, GACC Career Services requires a placement fee. The fee is usually paid by the applicant and ranges from $515 and $1,015 depending on the status of the trainee as well as the length of training. The fee can be remitted either by the candidate or the company. Fee determination is made once GACC Career Services has received an application.

For participation in the Internship Program Germany the following should be considered:

• Trainees must to be students or recent graduates in a field related to the training program.
• Trainees must have reasonable German language skills. Part of the application process is an oral interview that is conducted in German.
• Training program offers are mainly within the area of business and engineering
