As a participant in the GACC's J-1 Visa Service you also have the opportunity to join the J-1 Trainee Fraternity. This is an exclusive club of J-1 Trainees and their friends from all over the world. Through this website you will be linked to a network of people who share similar experiences and who are willing to make new friends and meet new people.

Become a Participant
If you apply for a J-1visa with the German American Chamber of Commerce as your sponsor, you are automatically a member of the Trainee Fraternity and will get interesting information and offers about upcoming events. If you would not like to join, please contact internfraternity(at)gaccny.com with the subject line "InternFraternity". Participation includes:

• Invitations to our group events located in New York, including movies, concerts, private bars/lounge parties, sporting events, night clubs, theater shows, wine tasting, networking events, gallery/museum events, comedy shows, cultural seminars/orientation and lectures/academic events
• Bi-weekly "German Stammtisch" at a local bar or lounge
• An extensive Housing List for the New York area ($10 for participants, $20 regularly) and free information on housing located in other areas throughout the U.S.
• Quick access to other trainees in your area and listing of local events via the website
