Ritz Instrument Transformers is now open in Hart County, Ga. The German-based manufacturer celebrated the opening of its new manufacturing plant with a ribbon cutting and open house in Gateway Industrial Park, which is the Hart County portion of Lavonia. Ritz makes low-voltage transformers and transducers for power companies, and the Hart County plant is the first United States facility for the company. Ritz governing board president Ingmar Grambow thanked the Hart County community for its warm welcome. Founded 65 years ago in Hamburg, Germany, Ritz Instrument Transformers Inc. manufactures current transformers, voltage transformers, cast coil power transformers, and resin-insulated bus bar systems. The Hart County facility brings the total number of manufacturing sites in the Ritz group to seven.
