Gustav Wiegard hiring for new Georgia factory
(Global Atlanta)
The U.S. affiliate of a German company that makes components used in steel manufacturing is accepting applications for 20 jobs at its new factory in Meriwether County, Ga., about 50 miles southwest of Atlanta. Gustav Wiegard North America LP is recruiting applicants for various positions including welding team leader, milling operator and production supervisor. Applications will be accepted between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, March 13, at the Meriwether County Family and Friends Day and Job Fair at Greenville High School, 17656 Roosevelt Highway. The factory will be constructed in Meriwether County’s new industrial park, which has so far attracted only international companies. A Korean company, Dongwon Autopart Technology, was the park’s first tenant. It supplies components for the new Kia Motors auto factory in West Point. Shareholders of family-owned Gustav Wiegard Maschinefabrik GmbH & Co., based in Witten, Germany, and other investors, created Gustav Wiegard North America.
